Rooted and Built up in Him 

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6,7

 A tree, that is rooted in nutrient rich soil, well watered from the earth, warmed by the sun shining and breathing in oxygen, is designed to grow and bear fruit, just as it was created to do. We are like trees, planted by the stream of living water, rooted in God’s Word, to grow up into fruit bearing trees that spread the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control of the Holy Spirit. 

At Dunnville Christian School,every learning activity is designed to point students to the amazing love and faithfulness of our Creator with opportunities to grow in their own unique gifts. Quality Christian education begins with a deep understanding of God’s design and plan for all of creation as revealed through God’s inspired Word. We learn that although we are all sinners, Christ died to save us and transform us into His likeness. Through our daily practices, interactions and learning, we are learning to live out the call to thrive in Christ. 

As a community of believers, we pray that the learning that happens each day, whether in the classroom, on the playground or in our homes, God will work in and through to prune us to bear good fruit. We are truly blessed for “God has done great things for us and we are filled with joy!”
